Roar has been shortlisted in the Best Use of Search: Real Estate & Property category at the UK Search Awards 2026 for our paid search work with Hamptons. It is the first award we have ever entered, and the shortlist comes shortly after Roar turned ten.
Ten years, one first entry
Roar started in October 2016 as one person working from a Caffè Nero. A decade on, we are a full agency with multiple departments, specialisms across several industries and an international client list.
Property has run through all ten years of that growth, and our work in the property sector now spans estate and letting agencies and property platforms. This year was the first time we put any of that work in front of judges, and the property category was the natural place to start.
The work behind the shortlist
Our entry centred on connecting each click all the way through to the appraisals logged in Hamptons’ CRM, then using that data to build the audience the campaigns targeted. Rather than optimising for clicks or form submissions, we optimised for confirmed market appraisals. Lead volume fell by design, and in the first six months of 2026 we delivered 181 appraisals against a target of 150, each with a five-figure instruction fee at stake.
The campaign grew out of a five-year partnership with Hamptons, and that trust is what allowed both teams to be measured on appraisals confirmed in Hamptons’ own CRM.
What the shortlist means to us
Being shortlisted on a first entry is recognition for the whole team, from the paid media specialists who built the campaigns to the people who have spent ten years learning how estate agencies earn their revenue. It also recognises the approach we take with property clients: search judged on commercial outcomes, built on knowledge of the sector and reported in the client’s own numbers.
Our thanks go to the marketing team at Hamptons, who backed the strategy through a fall in lead volume and trusted the appraisal numbers to follow.
The winners are announced later this month, and we are looking forward to celebrating with the rest of the shortlist in London. Our paid media lead gen solutions page sets out how we run paid search for property businesses.
